The Quality & Safety Lead within the W&C Division is a key and pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of a safe and effective service.
You must demonstrate a good level of enquiry, excellent communication, and exceptional organisational skills. Current midwifery registration with the NMC, experience in Quality and Safety including patient safety, risk management, and patient experience, along with effective time management and workload prioritisation skills, are essential.
Main Duties
You will lead governance and risk management of maternity services, developing, embedding, and promoting robust governance processes and a safety culture. You should be an experienced midwife with a comprehensive understanding of governance and risk management. Ability to present reports verbally and in writing to diverse audiences, and to collaborate with professionals within and outside the organisation, is crucial. Strong communication skills, enthusiasm, innovation, and engagement ability are required.
You will work closely with the Director of Midwifery & Nursing, operational, and corporate management teams, including staff at all levels, to achieve safe, high-quality, effective care for service users.
