An exciting opportunity has arisen at Halesowen College for a Trainee Lecturer / Lecturer in Chemistry. In this role, you will work towards and deliver effective learning, teaching, and assessments that provide a high-quality experience to enthusiastic students passionate about the subject.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced, and qualified lecturer to join a growing and popular Science department. The Science department is a large and diverse team offering courses including A Level Sciences, Level 3 Applied Science, Level 2 Applied Science, Level 1 Applied Science, as well as successful Access to HE courses. The department features bespoke labs; the successful candidate will teach on a range of subjects and courses, including L1, L2, and L3 Vocational Applied Science courses focusing on Chemistry units.

What will a Trainee Lecturer position mean for me?
Your training needs will be assessed and funded, particularly your studies towards achieving the Diploma in Education and Training (DET course). A teaching qualification will provide a practical introduction and a gradual build-up of your skills and knowledge. This will include job shadowing and, where appropriate, industrial updating to enhance your knowledge in this specialist area. Time will be allocated within your contracted hours for training.
