Job Description
At this manufacturing giant, there is a an exciting opportunity to attract into the team a Commercial Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth and commercial excellence across operations!
This is a senior position, with the successful candidate being the backbone of commercial strategy who will implement and enhance business processes that not only boost profit margins but also optimize capacity and reduce costs. The Commercial Manager will be at the heart of cross-functional collaboration, working closely with Sales, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to propel business progress.
Reporting to the Plant Director, typical responsibilities will be to: -
• Monitor sales volume, pricing, and margin development to identify growth opportunities. Drive actions with plant management and Sales to attract and retain business effectively.
• Lead the development of commercial strategies that align with both plant and business unit objectives. Supporting the sales team with insights and guidance on the best commercial initiatives.
• Spearhead key projects, streamline business processes, and push for differentiation in service models based on customer segments.
• Collaborate with Sales on business cases and tenders, implement pricing rules, and monitor customer and product profitability to ensure sustained growth.
• Strengthen the commercial contract management processes, ensuring compliance and best practices are followed across all agreements.
• Inspire and motivate a team to achieve excellence, fostering a positive and engaged working environment.
The successful candidate will have: -
• Gained their commercial experience within a manufacturing environment.
• A strong financial background with proven experience in commercial management.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate in a matrix organization.
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving initiatives that align with business goals.
