We have an exciting opportunity for you as Band 6 Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our Neurosurgery Theatres Leadership Team. You will be responsible for assisting the Team Leaders in the management of the service 24/7, ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained, acting as a credible role model to colleagues, and patient advocate at all times using the NMC / HCPC Professional Code of Conduct as the framework for your professional practice.
We currently run four Operating Theatres Monday to Friday, with additional activity in the two Neuro angiography suites and support 24-hour Neuro Emergency patient pathways. We cover both adult and paediatric neurosurgery. Over the coming months we will be expanding our stroke services to cover a 24-hour service.
You will be supporting the team to review and evolve clinical practices and pathways of care. The care group philosophy is one of delivering and being part of a proud and professional workforce, striving for excellence in our patients care, staff satisfaction and patient experience. The post holder will have a pivotal role within the neuro service, working collaboratively with their Team leader, their Band 6 Colleagues, Matron, Neurosurgery and Neuro Anaesthetic Clinical Leads.
