We are looking for a Barista to become part of our team. We are a coffee shop and bakery on the high street in Kings Heath, and in the 6 years since we opened have built a reputation on the quality of our cakes and brunch and our customer service.
As a team member, you’ll have a varied role, ranging from running table service, hosting arriving guests, serving guests at the till, running and clearing tables, and importantly, making and serving coffees, all while keeping customer service at the heart of everything you do, dedicated to creating incredible experiences for our customers. We encourage creativity within the team, so any new ideas for the front of house to drive the business forward are always welcomed.
A passion and love of coffee is essential for this role.

The Role and Responsibilities:
* Make amazing speciality coffee to our specs when on the bar
* A willingness to work between sections when not on the bar – we all roll our sleeves up at The Early Bird
* Offer exceptional customer service and capture the visions we have for our business
* Bring a great can-do attitude to work each day that works well as part of a team
* Be flexible to work across different sections
* A willingness to cover shifts at our sister store Perch, in the City Centre
* Uphold the core values and standards of The Early Bird
* Available to work within the opening hours, between 8am to 5pm, including weekends and holidays
* Up to £11.50 – £12.40 per hour incl. tips
* 28 days holiday per year

Desired Qualities:
* Barista experience – 2 years experience required
* Hospitality experience in a reputable hospitality venue – 2 years experience essential
* Experience working with table service and running a section
* A passion for coffee, customers, and colleagues
* Ability to embrace challenges in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
* Be career-oriented for hospitality
