Join an award winning, independent multidisciplinary consultancy firm as the new Project Environmental Consultant and gain valuable experience and training in the environmental sector. As the newest Environmental Consultant, you'll be learning under a highly experienced company partner, gaining an insight into 20 years of industry experience and practice. Joining their Bristol office, you will be supporting with a variety of projects across the built & natural development sectors, including education, housing, infrastructure and large-scale regenerative developments to name a few. You'll have the chance to work with their multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with noise & air quality specialists, planners, architects, ecologists, sustainability consultants and many others.
Responsibility:
As the new Project Environmental Consultant you will be working with the senior team, reviewing both technical and non-technical reports, assessing the data and then conveying that information to non-technical professionals such as clients and other key stakeholders.
You'll also be preparing a variety of plans, including environmental construction traffic and waste management plans as well as sustainability statements for assigned projects.
Also, you'll be developing your project management skills, creating timelines and budget plans, organising necessary sub-contractors and coordinating resources as appropriate.
On top of this, you'll be given the chance to pursue your own continued professional development, through learning the use of key softwares such as GIS and CAD packages (QGIS and AutoCAD) and via pursuit of professional memberships to relevant bodies such as IEMA, CIWEM or IES.
Requirements:
* BA/BSc in relevant degree such as Environmental Management, Environmental Science or Geography - MA/MSc is desirable.
* Graduate member of a relevant professional body e.g. IEMA, IES, CIWEM.
* Experience with Environmental Assessment, EIA's and/or Environmental Management.
* 1-3 years of experience within Environmental Consulting.
* Full UK driver's license and a willingness to travel for site visits and meetings.
