The Role
You will have full P&L accountability for achieving sales objectives with your online grocery retail customer. With the support and guidance of a senior Customer Business Manager, your role will be to maximise Volume, Net Sales and Gross profit; manage trade investment, and strive to achieve market share goals. You will be responsible for building consumer-led joint business plans that facilitate sustainable growth for both the retailer and Kimberly-Clark, in line with our corporate objectives. What will be key is being able to monitor, analyse, and evaluate our joint performance together against a mutually agreeable set of objectives. You will also find yourself extensively supporting the team with growing our day to day business with the customer, be it through aligning and inputting forecasts, setting up new products in the customers system, assisting with invoice queries, analysing sales trends and creating future projections, or leading one of many mini projects that crop up throughout the year.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Establish and maintain solid business relationships within the customer organisation, mobilising and optimising all resources available
2. Ensure that all internal (K-C) and external (retailer) customer requirements are actioned and communicated in a timely manner
3. Implement category strategies and continuously liaise across internal Category Business Teams to meet trading and performance objectives
4. Negotiate and agree trading agreements with internal and external customers which are designed to achieve financial targets
5. Build and present business plans (incorporating NPD) to the customer to drive growth
6. Support the wider team with data analysis and forecasting insight to robust the plans for the future.
Experience and Knowledge:
7. Degree-level educated or equivalent preferred, but not essential
8. Front line customer management experience preferred, but not essential
9. Experience of successfully forging and maintaining business relationships
10. Proven track record of interpreting data and delivering business results
11. Broader experience in a commercial role will be advantageous
12. Strong customer focus, with ability to develop consumer-led joint strategies
13. Strong commercial acumen - highly numerate, with strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate data in excel
14. Solid communication and a confident presenter
15. Outstanding interpersonal / collaborative skills
16. Ability to influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
17. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and be aware of deadlines to be met.
