The role… In this key role you will be responsible for the daily management of the Sales & Events department, leading and motivating the team to drive enquiry conversion, always upselling and delivering exceptional customer service. Your primary focus will be to maximise revenue through regular communication and implementation of the pricing and selling strategies, including effective Diary Management and an on-going competitor analysis for Conference & Event Market, both local and National. In maintaining effective communication between Sales Office and Hotel Operations, you will ensure the successful delivery of all events. You’ll also support the ongoing implementation of Conference Office Standards in line with the Company standards and those outlined by the DOS. You will support the team, guiding them to achieve the highest possible standards of service when dealing with colleagues, guests and clients. You will help to manage escalated queries from all sides of the business - internally and externally - ensuring a positive outcome every time. You will identify and support any training and development needs, manage and report on team performance and ensure that the team is as productive as possible. Previous experience working on a sales & event management system (Thynk, Sales & Catering, Delphi) would be strongly desired.
