The Role As the Senior Management Accountant at our Leeds head office, your primary role will be the management and delivery of our financial function and reporting for a key area of the business. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the company is financially robust and compliant with all regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Co-Managing Directors and working in collaboration with our Group Finance Director, your role will involve producing monthly financial reports, overseeing the preparation of accurate monthly and annual financial statements, and providing financial insight and analysis to the senior management team, to support decision-making. You will be required to lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring continuous professional development. You will also be instrumental in identifying opportunities for system improvements and ensuring that all financial activities align with our company standards. The Person We are looking for a dynamic and energetic individual who has the motivation to take their career in finance to the next level, whilst supporting our continued growth. You may be working towards your CIMA/ACCA qualification or may already be fully qualified, with extensive knowledge of running a finance function. Whilst previous experience working for a major house builder or service provider may be an advantage, what is important is the willingness and ability to do the right thing. Main Responsibilities: Lead on all aspects of our finance function at our Leeds head office. Completing routine processes such as raising Journals in line with business schedules. Complete the full production of month-end financial reports for the board. Production of KPI’s and analysis. Ensuring our customers’ requirements and expectations are met in a courteous and professional manner. Identifying areas of improvement within current systems. Ensuring company standards and procedures are followed. Achieving quality standards and fully reconciled customer accounts. Key Skills: Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Strong understanding of financial accounting principles. Experience with financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of a Qube Property Management System is advantageous although not essential as full training will be provided. Ability to multitask and work efficiently to agreed deadlines. Highly motivated, reliable, with the commitment to complete activities. Planning and organisation of individual and team workload and work streams to identify priorities. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
