Job summary
We are looking to recruit a ward clerk to provide admin support for Pembleton Ward on The Manor Site. This is an in-patient unit caring for female patients with a diagnosis of dementia.
This is a part time job share post, working Monday and Tuesday 9am - 5pm, 15 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be required to work as part of an integrated and skill mixed team, providing effective and efficient admin support to the ward.
Computer skills will be required as duties will include data inputting, collating data information for bed stays, ordering equipment, food and general supplies. You will also be taking timely and accurate messages, completing fire warden duties, sending e-mails, scanning documents, keeping up-to-date patient records, tracking patient records, sorting the post and deliveries, and arranging sick notes.
We are looking for individuals who are able to multi-task under pressure and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. The role will require you to provide ward clerk admin support to the Ward Manager and ward staff, and a large proportion of your day will be ward-based working with the team.
