Health and Safety Manager
Location: Hull
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 DOE + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits Package

This is a pivotal role where you will drive the development of a proactive Health & Safety culture, starting with their warehouse and logistics operations, and expanding across other divisions. You'll work with a diverse range of stakeholders, helping the business continuously improve and maintain high standards in Health & Safety compliance and practices.

Key Responsibilities
As the Health and Safety Manager, you will:
* Ensure the organisation complies with all Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
* Develop, implement, and maintain effective Health & Safety policies and procedures, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
* Provide practical training and education to employees, coordinating with external providers where necessary.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and driving corrective action.
* Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement preventive measures.
* Collaborate with managers to integrate safety processes into everyday operations.
* Develop and monitor Health & Safety performance metrics and present findings to senior stakeholders, including board-level reporting.
* Support accreditation processes such as ISO, ensuring compliance and assisting with audits.
* Stay informed about industry trends and legislation to maintain best practices.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Essential Skills:
* A recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
* Demonstrable experience in a Health & Safety role within the logistics, warehousing, ports/shipping, manufacturing or transport sectors.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
* Familiarity with ISO accreditation processes and managing audits.
