Job Description: Medical Receptionist/Admin Team Member
Work Pattern:
This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday from 13:30 to 18:30 (25.00 hrs per week)
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling calls, dealing with general enquiries, and processing prescription requests. You will also provide administrative support to our clinical staff and help with general office tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handle incoming calls and address patient enquiries.
2. Process prescription requests efficiently and accurately.
3. Use Windows, Vision, and Docman software to keep track of patient records and appointments.
4. Provide administrative support to clinical staff, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
5. Contribute to general office tasks to ensure a smooth running of the practice.
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist/Admin Team Member.
Requirements:
1. Work as part of a friendly supportive team and be a team player.
2. Enjoy contact with and assisting members of the public and health care professionals either on the phone or face to face.
3. Be an excellent communicator (written and verbal).
4. Have a professional approach.
5. Work to protocol; training will be given.
6. Have good computer skills and be willing to learn various IT systems.
7. Have an understanding of the data protection act and patient confidentiality.
8. Be able to work under pressure at times of high demand.
Potential candidates should have a calm and friendly manner with excellent communication skills to speak to patients both face to face and over the telephone. You will work as part of a team in this busy environment and should be reliable, conscientious, and great at multi-tasking. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
