Site supervisor
Construction and refurbishment company based in Rainham, Essex require a Site Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable site supervisor to join our team to oversee the day-to-day operations at multiple sites. We work in London and the surrounding areas delivering projects covering all aspects of construction and refurbishment.
You will be responsible for visiting and overseeing multiple projects, organising resources ensuring all work meet the required quality, programme and safety standards. You will need to have a very good knowledge of the construction industry and refurbishment projects as you will be overseeing all trades. This role will require you to build relationships with clients and contractors, whilst ensuring projects are run safely, efficiently and productively to the highest of standards. When needed you will be required to offer solutions to on site issues and liaise with the contracts managers and surveyors to provide operational support. A company van will be provided and a full UK driver’s license is essential.

Responsibilities as a site supervisor:
• Day to day supervision of multiple sites.
• Dealing with clients and ensuring a high level of quality and service is delivered.
• Providing construction knowledge and guidance when required.
• Reporting daily back to Project Manager/Company Director
• Organising and Ordering materials
• Attending weekly progress meetings and safety meetings.
• Maintaining health and safety standards on sites and carry out inductions.
• Organising and liaising with sub-contractors, suppliers and plant hire.
• Checking quality and standards of workmanship being carried out by operatives.
• Organising and controlling directly employed and sub-contracted labour.
• Monitor on site materials.
• Check and record labour outputs against time sheets.
• Ensure sub-contracted labour meets required standards.
• Carry out and record toolbox talks to labour and sub-contractors
• Manage construction sites, ensuring that all workers adhere to construction plans and safety targets.
• Produce site specific risk assessments and method statements.

Required
• At least 5 years supervisory experience.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• CSCS card
• SSSTS (Site supervisor safety training scheme) (Essential) or SMSTS
• First aid
• Asbestos Awareness Certificate
• Full UK driver’s licence
• DBS check required upon successful application.
• Experience and working knowledge of CDM regulations.
Job types: Full Time, Permanent Site supervisor
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
