Azelis is looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team and support the Home Care & Industrial Cleaning business unit This is a full-time position based out of our Hertford office. This exciting role will see you collaborating closely with our Laboratory Manager to develop innovative formulations, evaluate chemicals, and generate performance data to enhance our product offerings and help drive customer success. We are looking for someone passionate about creating innovative and sustainable formulations to join our team Mission The Laboratory Technician assists the Laboratory Manager in the development of formulations, evaluating chemicals and creating performance data for the promotion of Azelis products and inclusion in customer formulation projects. The Market area is Home Care and Industrial & Institutional Cleaning. This comprises a wide range of formulations and applications from laundry detergents to dishwash, from car polishes to air fresheners. The role is an exciting and varied role for the right candidate with a willingness to learn and be challenged. Main Accountabilities Support and partially drive development and testing of new formulations, applications, and chemistries: Support and develop innovative product concepts to reach new customers and application areas; Assist in the development and implementation of test methods; Carry out performance tests and qualitative evaluations of current and new Azelis ingredients; Support sampling process for customers, seminars, and exhibitions; Create digital content for customer portal; Support exhibitions, customer/supplier and in-house seminars; Collaborate with the sales team to support project development, and trouble shoot formulation issues; Work with Marketing to promote the key attributes of products and formulations; Document and report formulation development; Actively maintain safety, maintenance, and quality standards. Keep track of stock levels and ordering lab consumables Align with the Group’s Sustainability Strategy into laboratory-related actions and contribute actively and timely to the implementation of the sustainability KPIs Experience, Skills & Education Minimum secondary vocational education in chemistry or one of the sciences; Ideally, 1-5 years experience in lab environment, more preferably in life sciences or industrial applications; Strong analytical approach, with high quality standards, and attention to detail; Self-motivated, conscientious and dynamic mindset; Good communication and collaboration skills Ability to communicate technical information at all levels eg, customers/sales, technical teams and stakeholders; Strong IT skills and the ability to use digital tools; Loves to work in a dynamic and commercially driven team; Good knowledge of English.
