Lifestyles have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven leader for the role of Deputy Manager within our service. You will be required to work as part of our multi disciplinary team to create a therapeutic and safe environment where young people can feel secure, cared for and valued. Supporting the Registered Manager, you will be working with a maximum of 3 young people aged between 6-12 years. You will work to build positive relationships with the staff team, young people, assessing strengths and looking at innovative ways to overcome any challenges that our young people experience. Lifestyles staff and management team are supported by a multi disciplinary team of health and care professionals including a clinical psychologist, a registered nurse, an occupational therapist, a safeguarding specialist, a positive behaviour support specialist and a psycho therapist/ trauma specialist. Key Responsibilities: 1. As a Deputy Manager you will help guide your team to deliver the highest standards of care and working in line with minimum standards 2019 and children's home regulations 2005 2. Work co-operatively with children's services, health agencies and other community based services, networking to ensure the young people are receiving the most effective service and achieving their true potential. 3. Take responsibility for complex cases/ situations presenting within the service and work diligently as part of a multi disciplinary team with an aim of achieving a high quality, safe and well managed care and support service 4. Apply safeguarding and child protection procedures and ensure full compliance in line with organisational policies and procedures 5. Provide comprehensive staff supervision on a minimum of a monthly basis 6. Ensure staffing and service level reports are fully comprehensive, high quality and accurate. 7. Oversee and manage budgets and staff rota in line with company targets 8. Facilitate team meetings and meetings with outside agencies 9. Support the Registered Manager with new referrals, ensure compatibility assessments are complete in line with our thorough matching process. 10. Any other duties required to ensure a highly functioning service to support positive outcomes for our Young People. Requirements: A minimum 3 years experience working with behaviours of concern such as verbal and physical aggression/ absconding. A minimum of 2 years experience of leading teams and managing services within the care sector Degree level in Social Work is required Must have a full clean UK Drivers License for 12 months Northern Ireland Social Care Council Registration and Enhanced Access NI Skills: Social Work Residential Management Care Plans People Management Children's Residential On Call
