We are seeking compassionate and dedicated male classroom assistants to join our team. This role involves providing one-on-one support to male complex autistic students who, at times display some distressed behaviours. The successful candidates will receive a range of training to support them in the role and will work closely with our teaching staff to ensure the students receive the best possible educational experience. Key Responsibilities: Build strong and trusting relationships with the students and staff they are working with Provide tailored support for male students with special educational needs. Assist in implementing individualised education plans (EHCP) Support the students in classroom activities and during breaks. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff members. Requirements: Genuine occupational requirement for male candidates due to the specific needs of the students. Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is preferred. Strong communication, resilience and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Relevant qualifications or training in education or special needs support. Applicant must be able and willing to respond to emergent situations relating to student behavioural needs.The positions are for maximum of 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only. The positions graded at PS3 with a salary of £16,901. This is paid on a spread-over basis so you receive the same amount each month, regardless of school holidays. A good level of English and Maths is required.
