About Spring Finance Spring Finance Limited ('Spring’) was established in 2011 as a Financial Conduct Authority ("FCA") regulated second charge lender, lending to customers who may not meet the normal lending criteria of high street banks, building societies and other lenders. Spring Finance launched into the specialist bridging market in 2022 with the aim to build a trusted and respected lender that makes quick, robust decisions and provides a flexible, supportive and efficient service for its customers. The specialist bridging team at Spring Finance is led by an expert team of industry professionals with over 60 years combined experience. Purpose of Role The Administrator is an important role within the bridging and development finance team. The administrator will be responsible for producing terms for brokers following internal credit approval. The administrator will then be the first port of call for a new bridging application being received and a case being set up. The administrator will work closely with the underwriters and sales team to ensure that terms are sent out within the agreed turnaround time and that new cases are processed efficiently. The bridging sales team currently comprises the Sales Director and two BDM’s. The bridging and development finance underwriting team currently consists of the Director of Bridging, two Underwriting Managers plus a team of Underwriters and Assistant Underwriters. The administrator will work alongside the assistant underwriters and will be responsible for drafting and issuing terms, instructing and chasing valuations, setting up cases, and supporting the Underwriters in their cases. The administrator will also work closely with the sales team to assist with broker onboarding and broker queries and supporting the BDMs. This position provides a solid grounding in bridging and there is potential for progression within the team for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: • Issue terms to brokers in conjunction with the sales and credit teams • Liaise with applicants for new loan applications and chase outstanding items • Liaise with brokers on new and existing loans • Create loan files including carrying out credit searches, title deed checks, broker and solicitor permissions checks • Liaise with the valuation panel to instruct, book and chase valuations.• Maintain a high level of communication at all times with interested parties including brokers, applicants, surveyors and solicitors • Maintain a high level of customer service with those internally and externally • Work closely with other departments within the company including sales, compliance, finance and collections • Keep up to date with current best practice and regulatory requirements • Keep all records and systems up to date Key Competencies: • Experience of property or finance helpful but not essential • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills • Excellent attention to detail • Ability to work to tight timeframes • Proactive • Strong team player Key Measures: • Turnaround time for issuing terms and setting up new case files • Accuracy in terms being drafted • Good feedback internally and externally
