East Surrey Hospital Physiotherapy Department is a friendly, forward-thinking and innovative department with a well-established Clinical Governance programme and a focus on developing staff.
The Medical Team is responsible for the assessment, management and discharge planning of a varied and diverse clinical caseload across a range of areas.
Our team offers opportunities across the following areas:
1. General Medicine

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an evolving team, and to develop your clinical and managerial skills in a supportive, friendly environment. You will be involved in the supervision and training of more junior members of staff, as well as opportunities with students. Your own development will be supported by a team of Band 7s, within the acute medical team and the wider therapy department.
We are looking for:
1. A physiotherapist who has completed their junior rotations and is ready to take on increased responsibility or a senior physiotherapist interested in specialising or in expanding their role.
2. A physiotherapist who has experience working within the acute setting, managing a wide range of medical patients including the acutely unwell, discharge planning and liaising with other agencies.
3. Flexibility in working practice within an evolving and expanding team.
4. A physiotherapist interested in developing their skills in supervision and leadership.
