ARE YOU A PROJECT ENGINEER OR PROJECT MANAGER WITH EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING? HAVE YOU PLAYED A KEY ROLE IN DELIVERING SITE IMPROVEMENTS, PRODUCTION AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS?
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project engineer or project manager to play a pivotal role within a well established specialist manufacturer. They supply their products to a wide range of sectors. This is a varied role with a high level of responsibility.
The role would suit project engineers or project managers with strong manufacturing engineering backgrounds. You must have previous and proven experience of cradle to grave project management, delivering multiple engineering projects at a time, on time and within budget constraints.
Applicants must be strong mechanically and electrically. Digital, control and automation background is highly desirable. An understanding of COSHH and chemical handling will be advantageous. CE certification, ATEX, HAZOP, HAZID will also be beneficial to your application.
The role of Engineering Project Manager will be a technical and HANDS ON role, rather than a people management position. You will work alongside senior management to deliver on continuous improvement, upgrade and installation projects. You will be involved in all things from site infrastructure, packing lines, process plants and streamlining operations. You will develop project plans and oversee project execution, monitoring progress and making adjustments where necessary to ensure fit for purpose solutions that will make a good return on investment.
You will have full responsibility for capital expenditure which will include sourcing of materials, parts and machinery through to acquiring and managing contractors on the projects. Health and safety, risk assessments and method statement review will be a big part of your role. You will present project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
