As a Software Test Engineer at Hubexo, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining high-quality software solutions for the global construction industry. You’ll be involved throughout the entire development lifecycle — from planning and defining test requirements to automation, regression, and user acceptance testing.
This role is a key part of our agile delivery approach and contributes directly to ensuring our platforms are secure, stable, and scalable. You’ll work collaboratively across teams to champion quality assurance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Principal Job Responsibilities:
1. Create and execute detailed test plans and test scripts based on both functional and non-functional requirements
2. Lead user acceptance, exploratory, regression, and API testing activities
3. Contribute to and maintain test automation frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Selenium)
4. Support non-functional testing such as performance, load, and security
5. Collaborate with development and QA colleagues to identify, log, and follow up on defects
6. Promote high-quality delivery through automation, DevOps practices, and agile collaboration
7. Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retrospectives) and peer review processes
8. Continuously identify opportunities to improve testing strategies and delivery pipelines
9. Contribute to Hubexo’s QA principles and advocate their adoption within the wider engineering function
10. Help coach and support junior testers as needed
11. Liaise with external partners or stakeholders where appropriate
12. Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in testing tools and techniques
Qualifications:
1. Demonstrable success in software testing and quality assurance
2. Experience working in agile and DevOps environments
3. Experience with API testing
4. Experience or knowledge of test automation tools (e.g. Cypress, Selenium)
5. Knowledge of databases and ability to write SQL queries
6. Passion for technology, testing, and continuous professional development
7. Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
8. Organised, logical thinker with a proactive mindset
9. ISTQB Foundation Level (or higher)
10. Experience in performance, load, or security testing
