This role is within a further education setting in Cambridgeshire, offering a range of vocational courses for students aged 16 and upwards. This particular role is a part-time fixed-term contract to start as soon as possible. The role requires 22.5 hours per week; however, this may increase only if suitable for the successful applicant.
The role will include:
* Planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging lessons to students with Special Educational Needs.
* Assessing individual student needs and developing tailored learning strategies.
* Supporting students' whole progression in both education and personally.
* Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to relevant people.
* Working alongside other professionals to establish inclusive learning environments.
To qualify for this role:
* Qualified teacher status OR a relevant degree/qualification and experience.
* Recent experience working with students with SEN that can be referenced.
* Knowledge of SEN code of practice and relevant legislation.
* A degree and/or experience within Music, Performing Arts, Art and Design, and Media.
Knowledge and skills:
* Strong understanding of different learning styles and SEN support strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Good organizational and time-management abilities.
