To support the Cardiac Physiologists and other Senior Healthcare Science Assistants in the Cardiac Testing Department. To provide and assist in all forms of electrocardiographic examinations this includes the setting up, fitting and downloading of all forms of ambulatory monitoring, this is to both inpatients and outpatients.
Providing an efficient and accurate resting 12 lead ECG service to inpatients and outpatients.
Supporting the cardiac physiologists in other forms of ECG monitoring when required, this may include, exercise stress testing, MPI’s or stress echo clinics.
To be an integral part of and to assist with the everyday running of the Cardiac Testing department.
To be comfortable dealing with patients of all types and communicate with them effectively.
Performing high quality, accurate resting 12 lead ECGs will be a substantial part of this post, mostly in a very busy outpatient clinic.
The fitting of ambulatory monitors, thereby ensuring an efficiently running service including fitting, downloading and cleaning of both cardiac and blood pressure monitors on outpatients and inpatients.
To assist the physiologists with physiologist managed exercise tests including chest pain clinic ones.
