What the Job Involves As a Passenger Assistant, you play a crucial role in accompanying and assisting children and young adults, typically with medical or behavioural needs, during their journeys to and from educational institutions. You will primarily operate within Plymouth, and occasionally into Devon and Cornwall, covering shifts from 07:00-10:00 and 14:00-17:00, Monday to Friday. The position involves serving as a substitute for Passenger Assistants who are temporarily unavailable. You are responsible for ensuring safe and supportive transport for approximately 800 students, via either Minibuses or Taxis. This is a position on a relief register with variable hours, offering a day of classroom training followed by practical route experience.
