Advanced Clinical Pharmacist (Critical Care & Medicine)
We are currently recruiting for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist covering Critical Care / Medicine at The Harborne Hospital, part of the world's largest private healthcare group providing award-winning primary, acute, and complex care.
About the Facility
The Harborne Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK, is a brand new £100 million, purpose-built 50-bed multi-speciality private hospital that opened in January 2024. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital has the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment, and facilities to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties, including Cardiology, Cancer, and Complex Surgery with the latest Da Vinci XI robotics. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.
Main Duties of the Job
HCA has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at The Harborne Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who displays positivity within a team to lead the provision and development of a high-level, responsive clinical pharmacy service to Medical Wards and Critical Care.
The successful candidate will be confident, possess clear communication skills, and have a real focus on providing outstanding customer service. They will be versatile and flexible, willing to work across various roles and tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department. They must adhere to processes and protocols and have the ability to prioritize workload to meet departmental objectives. This role will involve working in services such as Surgical, Medical, and Critical Care.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered with GPhC
* Specialist knowledge in Critical Care/Medical/Surgical
* Specialist knowledge in antimicrobials
* Relevant hospital pharmacy experience
* Postgraduate diploma/masters in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
* Knowledge of Health and Safety; ICAA knowledge is desirable; Meditech knowledge is desirable
