Are you looking for a job with purpose where you are truly valued? A job where you have the opportunity to positive shape children’s lives? A job with ‘light bulb’ moments that show you there and then just how much joy and benefit you are creating for children? Come and join our amazing team and see how much our school has to offer you.
Epsom Downs Community School is excited to welcome enthusiastic and skilled Teaching Assistants to join our team! We look forward to hearing from motivated individuals ready to make a positive impact on our school community. We have an exciting opportunity available working initially in key stage 1. We'll work closely with the successful candidate to match their strengths, skills, and confidence to the most suitable age group, ensuring a great fit for both you and our children.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of vibrant, inclusive school bringing high standards of teaching and learning to all our children. The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team, have good communication skills, be enthusiastic, fair and kind.
The right applicant needs to have the patience and the ability to help vulnerable children understand the world around them and progress towards their potential. In return we can offer you support towards training that will benefit your career, from further TA qualifications to Forest School Leadership (if you enjoy the Great Outdoors). This is on top of our bespoke TA training and the chance to learn from our dedicated, highly motivated staff.
This is a great opportunity for anyone wishing to explore a career working with children. The successful candidates will enjoy a varied daily routine as part of our supportive team. There will be an emphasis on supporting SEND pupils on a 1:1 basis but supporting other children in a classroom will also, at times, be required. Please read the job profile attached which covers duties associated with this role.
We are a diverse and vibrant Primary School set on the edge of the famous Epsom Downs racecourse. Further details about our unique site and our values can be obtained from our website.
We encourage you to explore our website for further insight into our school, our facilities, and the supportive environment we foster. Our recent staff survey also highlights just how much our team members feel valued and supported— please take a look.
References are usually sought before interview for any short-listed candidates so please ensure you clearly state if you wish this to be delayed until an interview has taken place.
