Overtime: £26.26 (T1.3x) paid after 38hrs per week

Summary of Project
This project involves the maintenance and management of specialised turbine installation tools and heavy lifting equipment. As the Toolkeeping Manager, you will ensure that all tools and equipment meet quality standards and perform regular maintenance checks. Your role is crucial in keeping tools available and compliant with safety standards, contributing to the efficiency of the project.
Person Specification
You are a detail-oriented and experienced store person with knowledge in maintaining installation tools and heavy lifting equipment. You have experience with the required periodic tests for lifting and electrical tools, along with a keen awareness of safety standards and quality control. Proficient in tool and equipment management, you have basic computer skills for tracking inventory and are ideally trained in operating heavy-duty forklifts.
Job Duties
Maintain and oversee turbine installation tools and heavy lifting equipment, ensuring all meet quality and safety standards.
Conduct and monitor periodic tests for lifting and electrical tools, keeping records of inspections.
Track monthly and annual verification schedules for tools and equipment.
Manage tool room inventory, ensuring availability and compliance of all necessary equipment.
Utilise basic computer skills for storage and tool management, updating records and tracking usage.
Ensure compliance with safety instructions and health and safety regulations.
Support site team by preparing equipment for daily use and ensuring calibration of measurement devices.Requirements
Experience in maintaining turbine installation tools and heavy lifting equipment.
Knowledge of required periodic testing and compliance standards for installation tools.
Proficiency in handling tool and equipment management, including inventory tracking.
Basic computer skills for storage and tool management.
Awareness of safety instructions and applicable health and safety measures.
Preferred: Completed NPORS or AITT training for Counterbalance Forklift Truck (B3, >15t).
Preferred: Category C1 (up to 7.5t) or C (>7.5t) driving license.
Suitable health and safety training, e.g., CSCS or similar, is required for all staff.Benefits
