Lord Hardy Court provides care to 60 older people, with a range of individual needs and mental health problems, including dementia. We provide joint working with the NHS to deliver Step-up Step-down services to the community.
Applicants ideally need experience in a social care setting and should have Level 1 or Direct Care NVQ or equivalent, though training is available in-house and through the council’s own programmes.
Care staff are expected to contribute to the provision of a comfortable, stimulating, homely environment that meets essential standards of health and safety and dignity in care principles.
Care staff are also expected to contribute to and develop a customer-focused service that is responsive and flexible regarding all customer needs.
Lord Hardy Court operates a shift system on a rota basis, which includes weekends and bank holidays, with cover required for up to 37 hours for leave and sickness.
