Mechanical Supervisor - Guildford Hospital
Are you a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for leadership and a desire to make a positive impact on healthcare?
We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at a busy hospital in Guildford. You will play a key role in overseeing the maintenance and repair of a range of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
What You'll Do:
Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of mechanical engineers and technicians
Provide technical guidance and support to the team
Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety
Manage the preventative and corrective maintenance of a range of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on ventilation systems (including CP and AP training)
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
Monitor and manage maintenance budgets
Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in the on-call rota for emergency call-outs
Engage in management duties as required, including shift planning and staff scheduling
What You'll Need:
A proven track record as a mechanical engineer
Strong experience working with ventilation systems (CP and AP training desirable)
A broad understanding of various mechanical systems within a healthcare environment
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in a healthcare setting
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer:
Competitive salary of £45,000 per year
Monday to Friday working hours (8am - 5pm)
25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
