Job Role: Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: West Midlands/Midlands
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
A leading M&E Company, who have been operating since 1995, recently made the jump to partnering up with our client this August and are now seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reactive and remedial maintenance work and repairing gas appliances and systems within various commercial settings across the Midlands. Our client is looking for someone with the experience to be able to go in, get the keys to the van, and get on with the work.
Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check due to work being in schools, hospitals etc.
Commutable From: Walsall, Cheslyn Hay, Cannock, Stafford, Birmingham, Lichfield, Worcester, Burton, Wolverhampton etc.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service and repair commercial gas appliances and systems, including boilers, heating systems, and gas meters.
2. Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in gas systems and provide effective solutions.
4. Perform gas safety checks and issue relevant certification.
5. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring clear communication and minimal disruption to clients' operations.
6. Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
7. Stay updated with industry developments and advancements in gas engineering technology.
Qualifications:
1. Valid Gas Safe Registration and commercial certificates. (COCN1, CODNCO1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1)
2. Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
3. Strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and industry standards.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Full UK driving license.

Working away is very rare and has not happened in a long time; however, may be required at some point so will be written in contract just in case.
