General Manager - 6-12 months FTC - Full Time - Cardiff - £75,404 (pro rata)
Yolk Recruitment Public Sector and Not-for-Profit is proud to be working with a large health board whose priority is to ensure the ongoing health of their patients and people and who require a Theatre Manager on a fixed term basis. This is a role with vital responsibilities and people management requirements and is a huge opportunity for seasoned individuals with experience in public sector and health care.
Key Responsibilities include:
What the General Manager will be doing:
* Effective strategic Operational Management of the Directorate
* Lead change in the Clinical Board's quality improvement programme.
* Work with colleagues to review and re-design services in order to meet the needs of patients and help achieve key performance indicators and reduce costs.
* Undertake line management responsibilities for direct reports, e.g. recruitment, PADR's, sickness absence, staff development, etc.
* Travel between sites to carry out the remit of the role.
What the General Manager will bring to the team:
* A recognised Management Qualification
* A record of successful management of change in a complex organisation
* Masters Degree in a relevant discipline or a demonstrable ability to work at Masters Level
* Well developed leadership and motivational skills.
* General management experience within the NHS
* Demonstrable experience of managing staff and resources above £5m
