General Manager – Mental Health and Addictions
NHS Lothian is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead and develop high quality Mental Health and Addiction Services across West Lothian and Lothian-Wide Podiatry Services. This pivotal role requires strategic vision, operational expertise, and a strong commitment to patient-centred care.
The successful candidate will provide leadership in service modernisation, workforce planning, and financial management, ensuring integrated, high-quality health and social care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Oversee the planning and delivery of integrated mental health, addiction, and podiatry services, ensuring patient-centred care across acute and community settings.
* Service Improvement: Lead transformation projects, utilising data and feedback to drive continuous service enhancement.
* Financial & Workforce Management: Oversee a £42 million budget and a multidisciplinary workforce of approximately 500 WTE staff, including medical consultants, registered professionals, and support staff.
* Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to clinical governance, health and safety, and regulatory frameworks.
* Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with NHS Lothian, West Lothian Council, third-sector partners, and key stakeholders to improve service integration and outcomes.
* Crisis & Risk Management: Lead suicide prevention strategies and contribute to the West Lothian Alcohol and Drugs Partnership.
