Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join a busy team in Bradford based within the Children in care team.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will undertake preventative work to address safeguarding concerns, investigate significant harm, and use legislation to promote the welfare of service users. You will provide comprehensive social work services to individuals, families, and carers, integrating theoretical approaches with practical application.
Managing a complex caseload, you will make critical decisions, ensuring that casework is well-planned, evaluated, and reviewed. You will engage with multi-agency inputs, handle complex family dynamics, and address multiple risk factors, always considering the public interest. Your role involves ensuring appropriate care for service users, utilizing mainstream and specialist resources innovatively.
You will be responsible for supervising service users receiving care services, conducting expert reviews, and providing expert witness testimony in court. Collaboration with various agencies and organizations is essential, as you represent our organization and influence outcomes in case planning and decision-making. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary assessments, lead meetings, and promote information sharing.
Mentoring newly qualified and less experienced social workers, you will support their development and offer placements to social work students as a practice educator. You will manage your workload, seek support when necessary, and stay informed about emerging best practices. Participation in departmental training, development of new resources, and involvement in specialist projects are key aspects of this role.
Continuous professional development is crucial, and you will engage in regular supervision and appraisal, adhering to Social Work registration and HCPC standards. You will apply ethical principles and values, maintain accurate records, and produce high-quality assessments. Acting in accordance with departmental priorities and policies, you will promote equality and work in an anti-oppressive manner.
