Our client is an Independent, family rum house builder, delivering around 30 to 40 quality new homes per year, They are seeking a General manager to join the business with expertise across Quantity surveying and Project management within the house building sector.
The role
You will report to the Owners and oversee the day to day running of the business, working between the companies offices in Doncaster and there new build sites based within the Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire regions, generally there will be 1 to 2 live sites at any one time, you will be responsible for overseeing cost control, preparing bills of quantities, managing cost planning and reporting, overseeing 1-2s with Site Managers and taking control of the full end to end cycle from project planning to delivery.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong skills in Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning
Experience within Project management
Experience within Quantity surveying
Experience with BOQ preparation and Cost Reporting
Great people management skills
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
