PART TIME TEACHER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION FOR SEPTEMBER 2025
Are you looking for a teaching role where you can inspire and educate international students with the highest aspirations? Our diverse, dynamic, and growing student body creates an exciting environment for teaching. Due to this growth, we are pleased to announce an opportunity to join our team as a Physical Education Teacher, delivering engaging and creative lessons as part of our preparatory programmes (PRE-KS4, PRE-KS5 and Academic English Modular one-year programmes). Although our facilities are modest, we are looking for someone who can make the most of the space available and ignite students' passion for physical activity. The ideal candidate will have the imagination and resourcefulness to design diverse and engaging activities that encourage physical well-being, teamwork, and personal growth.
We are seeking a teacher who can foster an inclusive environment where students feel motivated to participate, communicate, and develop both their academic and physical skills. Our classrooms are filled with students from various international contexts, making cultural sensitivity and adaptability key to success in this role.
Applicants should also demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development. We offer a range of development opportunities, including NPQ qualifications in Leading Teacher Development, Senior Leadership, and NPQ SENCO. Many teachers at Worthgate have benefitted from these programmes in partnership with UCL, and staff are actively encouraged to participate in cross-school collaborations and events, as part of our connection with the wider CATS Global Schools group.
For September 2025, we are looking for someone who has:
A strong background in Physical Education.
A proven record of delivering engaging and reflective lessons.
Creative and flexible teaching strategies that promote physical activity and well-being, even with limited resources.
A passion for ongoing professional development and a willingness to share innovative ideas.
The ability to integrate cross-cultural perspectives and encourage students to appreciate the global significance of physical education.
A commitment to ensuring students enjoy a holistic and enriching boarding school experience, where physical education plays a key part in their overall development.
If you are excited about the prospect of shaping the next generation of athletes and well-rounded individuals in a supportive and innovative environment, we would love to hear from you.
Applications from experienced teachers and ambitious new professionals will be welcomed and considered.
