We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team at a well-respected all-through (5-16) Special educational needs school in Basingstoke. This is an exciting opportunity to support the learning and development of students with a primary diagnosis of Autism and other learning difficulties in a positive and engaging environment. Previous experience working with special needs, children or vulnerable adults will be beneficial but not always essential.
Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Basingstoke
Hourly Pay: £13.86/ hour, paid weekly
Full and part time roles available
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support to students in the classroom, assisting with their learning and development.
* Assist teachers with lesson planning and preparation.
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Offer individual or group support to students as needed.
* Foster students’ academic and personal growth through encouragement and assistance.
Requirements:
* A passion for education and working with young people.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students effectively.
* Patience, adaptability, and a dedication to creating a supportive learning atmosphere.
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
