Support and Intervention Consultant: Safeguarding
Do you want to make a difference to the standards of safeguarding in schools? Are you an experienced safeguarding lead in a school or college? Do you enjoy delivering high-quality training? The role of Safeguarding Consultant could be the job you are looking for.
The Education Safeguarding Team is seeking a new Consultant to support the delivery of safeguarding reviews in schools and Alternative Provision, as well as the development and delivery of high-quality training, support, and guidance for school leaders and DSL teams.
This is an excellent career opportunity and will provide you with the chance to support practice in primary, secondary, special schools, post-16 colleges, independent schools, and Alternative Provision settings.
An induction and training programme will be provided, but anyone considering this post should be confident in the delivery of training and secure in their understanding and experience of complex safeguarding issues in schools.
Travel across the county will be required, as well as a willingness and availability to travel occasionally to schools elsewhere in the South East of England.
We are looking for candidates who are able to:
1. Challenge current practices in a professional and constructive way.
2. Deliver initiatives for improving the service to schools and pupils.
3. Lead and support staff to achieve a common vision and strategic direction.
4. Work as part of a team and identify opportunities for working with colleagues from other services.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
