Job Description:
An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Lead Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Bromley, Kent area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers.
The hospital provides care and treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health issues both as inpatients and day patients.
To be considered for this position you must have an Occupational Therapy degree/qualification and HCPC license to practice.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure effective and efficient management of, and provide both clinical and managerial supervision to, the Occupational Therapy team.
2. Join monthly Clinical Governance Committee meetings to provide a report on Occupational Therapy, including any progress updates, feedback, or development where relevant.
3. Lead on implementation of new services and share best practice with other teams.
4. Carry out OT assessments to identify patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate interventions on either an individual or group basis.
5. Manage and coordinate individual OT treatment plans, facilitate groups, and oversee the unit programmes.
6. Write up regular OT reports and attend multi-disciplinary meetings.
7. Develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues ensuring clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.
8. Maintain effective communication links with patients, relatives, and carers.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
1. Previous experience in mental health and eating disorders/autism would be preferred.
2. A newly qualified individual with previous work experience may also fulfill the criteria.
3. Good communication skills and a flexible approach are essential.
The successful Lead Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £43,742 – £50,952 per annum DOE. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive the following generous benefits:
