Vacancy: Graduate Process Engineer Location: Stockton or London Job Family: Engineering We invite Graduate Chemical Engineers to join the Catalyst Technologies Process Department at either Teesside or London and be enrolled onto the IChemE Accredited Company Training Scheme (ACTS) called the Process Engineering Development Programme (PEDP). The PEDP provides breadth and depth of experience within our business by working on real tasks and projects where your input is required and valued. This will enable chemical engineers to build on their high academic achievements at university and gain the experience and skills of chemical engineering professionals, leading to chartered status. Many of our chemical engineers are chartered and many of our senior engineers, principal engineers and managers joined as graduates or as young engineers and enjoy a challenging, rewarding and a professional career. The chemical engineer can expect to work in a range of different job positions within the business and will be moved between different roles in Teesside and Paddington to develop skills, experience, competencies and understanding of the business. Your responsibilities: Supporting design and operation of test rigs for process technology and catalysts development. Supporting manufacturing excellence and new manufacturing technology development across JM. Working on catalyst application development, new catalyst characterisation, new or existing technologies flow sheet development. Licensed technologies technical proposals and basic engineering packages for world scale capacity plants, revamp projects for licensed technologies and for customers utilising JM catalyst. Plant operational and commissioning support for third party plants engineering support via troubleshooting, small projects, and commissioning. For JM’s licensee plants which are located globally, supporting client training, construction reviews, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting. Requirements for the role: All applicants must be studying at MEng level on an IChemE accredited Chemical Engineering course and must be expecting a 2-1 or above. Effective communication with the ability to build successful working relationships. Proven technical ability through university or industrial based projects. Expected start date role this role is September 2025.
