You will be assessing claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction and whilst experience would be desirable, we are willing to accept applications from candidates with a willingness to learn and understand the complex rules which govern the schemes. Experience of Benefits would be desirable but full training will be given to the successful applicant. Essential qualities for the position are excellent communication skills and a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks including examining Benefit claim forms and documents and corresponding with official bodies. Applicants must have a minimum of 4 GCSE / O level passes (Grade A – C) including English language and Mathematics or equivalent and good computer skills.
