This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As an engineer, you understand the importance of products functioning as designed and meeting customer needs. Imagine that your product is used by the UK government to help keep our country safe. Your role is crucial.
You will engage with end users to understand their requirements, develop suitable test solutions, conduct lab tests and real-world trials, and ensure your products work when needed. You will document results, monitor product behavior, and provide updates to stakeholders. Your work culminates in a technical report assessing product readiness for deployment.
You will work with technologies including RF, cellular, and GPS, and capabilities such as tracking, audio, and video systems, at various lifecycle stages. You will also help define evaluation approaches. Be prepared at times to lift heavy test equipment up to 25kg, which is manageable with two people.
Your career development will be supported through on-the-job coaching, training courses, and accreditation.
More About You
To apply, you should have:
* An HND or equivalent experience in Electronics/Communications engineering or related field.
* Experience in electronics testing and measurements.
* Experience documenting test results and procedures.
* A full UK driving license.
Beneficial but not essential skills include:
* Experience with RF systems and antennas, cellular & wireless tech (5G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth), GPS systems, or audio/video tech.
* Developing test plans or conducting user trials.
* Technical report writing.
* Providing guidance or training to less experienced engineers.
