Veterinary Surgeon - Newcastle-Upon-Tyne
• Veterinary Surgeon role at a small animal practice located in the vibrant city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne
• Working alongside a highly skilled team of professionals including 5 certificate holders
• No OOH
• Generous benefits package including a relocation package and a welcome bonus
Our client is a reputable multi-centre veterinary practice with six branches located throughout Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Northumberland. They are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As part of their team, you will benefit from working with a team of highly skilled professionals with a wide range of clinical expertise and have the opportunity to collaborate with 5 certificate holders and 4 vets who are working towards certificates in various disciplines, such as surgery, dentistry, medicine, and emergency and critical care.
You will be working alongside a great team of RVNs, SVNs, and animal care assistants, some of whom are trained in schedule 3 procedures and are pursuing qualifications in behaviour, emergency and critical care, and feline nursing. In addition to their dedicated team and supportive environment, they offer a range of excellent facilities, including a CT scanner, direct digital radiography, ultrasound with doppler, laparoscopy, endoscopy, dental radiography, and ECG equipment.
Our client understands the importance of work-life balance and they are committed to providing a flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours. They believe in accommodating your individual needs and preferences at every stage of your career.
There is an efficient system in place for on-the-day emergency consultations through an ECC shift. This allows other vets to continue with their pre-booked procedures while minimising extra appointments. ECC vets on these shifts will have a dedicated nurse to support them during appointments and procedures.
The ideal candidate will need to possess enthusiasm, drive, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent patient and client care. While experienced applicants are preferred, our client also welcomes recent graduates who are eager to learn and join a team dedicated to providing exceptional care. Part-time applicants are also encouraged to apply.
If you are passionate about veterinary medicine and are seeking an opportunity to join a supportive team in a well-established practice, please submit your application.
