SLC now have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Developer to join the Software Delivery team here in the wider Technology Group within SLC. As Principal Developer, you'll lead the delivery of cutting-edge software solutions, driving SLC’s mission forward with innovative cloud-based technologies and Java expertise. You'll define architectural standards, shape the strategic technical direction, and collaborate across teams to design impactful solutions that enable student finance services for millions. What you bring: Degree-level education with extensive software development experience across the full development lifecycle Experience leading development on AWS Cloud Services and both relational and non-relational databases (Oracle/MongoDB) Proven technical ownership of projects and products, with a proactive approach to delivering solutions Ability to design applications in multi-tiered environments using Java and related technologies Experience in providing estimates/sizing and working with software delivery partners in multi-vendor environments Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration by establishing strong partnerships with stakeholders including product and design teams Proven track record of facilitating development of other team members’ capabilities You can expect more from a career with SLC.
