Purchasing Manager\n\nBirmingham\n\n£45,000 per year\n\nMetalis are working with a specialised Installation and Maintenance company based in Birmingham, seeking to expand their team with a skilled professional.\n\nJob Duties:\n\nReduce business costs in line with monthly targets.\n\nSource materials for manufacturing, balancing cost, quality, and timelines.\n\nProvide accurate job costings and collaborate with Sales & Planning teams.\n\nStay informed on market trends, supplier capabilities, and logistics.\n\nTrack usage and provide reports to leadership.\n\nResearch and negotiate with suppliers to secure best value without compromising quality.\n\nMaintain strong supplier relationships to ensure supply security.\n\nMonitor material prices and advise on risk mitigation.\n\nConduct regular purchasing reviews for accuracy and efficiency.\n\nEnsure compliance with company standards and ISO 9001.\n\nLead and develop a motivated purchasing team.\n\nPresent reports and insights in management meetings.\n\nRequirements:\n\nProven experience (minimum 3 years) in a Purchasing Manager or equivalent role.\nStrong track record in managing supplier relationships and driving cost-cutting initiatives.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office \nA proactive approach to managing costs, ensuring quality and efficiency in all areas.\nCIPS Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience)Benefits:\n\nSalary of £45,000 per annum.\nOpportunity for career development and progression within a growing business.\nComprehensive training and development opportunities.\nPension scheme and other employee benefits.\nPositive and supportive team environment.\nHealth and safety training to ensure compliance with regulations
