Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Charge Nurse at Woodland View.
What you will do:
Ward 4 is a 15-bedded acute functional assessment ward for people over the age of 65 years who require inpatient assessment and treatment for acute mental illness. The opportunity is available to individuals with experience of working with older adults experiencing mental illness. The role includes clinical, professional, and managerial responsibility for Ward 4 on a 24-hour basis, including all clinical and staff governance issues. You are responsible for maximising service provision, including the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice, ensuring that all local and national guidelines and targets are adhered to and met.
You will be responsible for delivering person-centred care, evidence-based, recovery-focused interventions, and will also promote collaborative working within a multi-disciplinary team and across multi-agency services.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Applications are welcomed from individuals with proven leadership skills who will lead a multidisciplinary team, and as such should evidence excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Hours:
This is a full-time Monday – Friday post with occasional weekend / PH working depending on the needs of the service - 74 hours a fortnight.
