SEN Job Coach - Job in London Education & Training Jobs
* Sector: Support / IAG, Teaching Assistant
Would you like to join a charity supporting 18 – 24-year-olds gain skills to help them in the workplace? You will be working for a national charity that delivers supported internships for young people with autism or a learning disability. The programme provides classroom-based learning (employability and functional skills) combined with a work experience placement and supports the young person throughout the process.
The role is part-time, 3 days a week. Typically, you will be visiting young people in the workplace and working with them to help them understand their roles, as well as liaising with the employer for feedback and discussing any workplace adjustments. You will also support young people in the practicalities of getting to and from work. Learners and employers are typically in the Barnet area.
You must have experience working with young people, ideally with SEND, and have autism/learning disability experience. This role would suit a teaching assistant looking for a change, or a youth worker, employment advisor, or job coach.
