Job Description Summary This role is responsible for leading GE Vernova Sourcing’s sustainability and supplier diversity program, aligning with GEV’s overall Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. The role involves leading sustainability and supplier diversity initiatives, internal and external reporting, and benchmarking GEV Sourcing against peers, regulations, and standards. As the ESG subject matter expert, this role will build internal consensus on the sustainability sourcing strategy. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Develop and implement the Sourcing ESG strategy in alignment with GEV’s overall ESG strategy. Collaborate with Sustainability, EHS, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to standardize processes and tools, driving synergies across the sourcing organization. Drive standard work related to supplier sustainability requirements, collaborating with relevant business units. Develop and integrate environment and decarbonization metrics and targets within the sourcing framework. Support the deployment of category and sub-category GEV Sourcing strategies and plans for decarbonization and associated supplier programs. Engage with suppliers to implement sustainability and ESG strategies, including performance monitoring and continuous improvement. Lead the continuous evolution of tools and policies focused on decarbonization within the GEV Sourcing process. Assess potential sustainability risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor emerging trends and regulations in the sustainability and ESG landscape. Establish and maintain a robust governance framework to support business units in meeting CBAM/CSRD/EUDR/Conflict minerals compliance requirements. Qualifications/Requirements Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. Significant experience in driving sourcing and supply chain sustainability, ESG, and climate change agendas in a global organization. Experience in Sustainability, EHS, Compliance, supply chain, environmental management, and communications in a complex matrix business environment. Proven ability to drive transformational change programs and translate strategic insights into actionable plans. Experienced People Leader Desired Characteristics Strong experience in the Energy industry related to ESG and Procurement processes, programs, and systems. Strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with data management processes and technology tools/systems.
