The role:
As a Science Teacher at the school, you will play a crucial role in inspiring our students to explore the wonders of the natural world and develop a strong foundation in scientific knowledge. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, fostering a curiosity-driven approach to learning, and ensuring that students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons to students at [key stage or age group].
* Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance learning and stimulate student curiosity.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular, constructive feedback.
* Encourage and motivate students to develop a love of science, critical thinking skills, and a sense of inquiry.
* Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continued improvement of the department.
* Take part in extracurricular science-related activities and school events, where appropriate.
Requirements:
* A qualified teacher with a degree in Science or a related field (QTS or equivalent required).
* Proven experience teaching Science at [relevant key stage/age group].
* Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment strategies.
* Passion for science and the ability to inspire students to achieve excellence.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
