About the team and role:
The successful candidate will take a key role within our well-established planning enforcement team - dedicated to safeguarding the amenity of people who live and work in the Borough. As part of a busy team, you will be responsible for visiting and researching sites and premises and investigating alleged breaches of planning control by informally and formally negotiating resolutions.
The post will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about the overarching planning process as you will be required to work closely with our development management, conservation and policy colleagues. Negotiation skills are essential as is the ability to work within a customer focused environment where tact, patience and diplomacy are essential.
