Main Duties of the Job
The Children's Hospital Education Team are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team for this exciting six month opportunity. You will need an extensive paediatric cardiac and respiratory knowledge, evidence of a Paediatric Critical Care Level 2 or 3 qualification and be experienced in the clinical skills required to care for Paediatric Critical Care Level 2 patients who are inpatients within the Children's Hospital.
This role will focus on supporting staff from various wards caring for this patient group, helping them to develop their own skills and knowledge application to enable the highest possible standards of care are met. There will be an opportunity to identify measurable objectives for the role and to work collaboratively with other members of the education team, ward teams and the Operational Delivery Network.

Job Responsibilities
This role will involve working collaboratively with the multi-professional team in the planning and delivery of coaching, teaching, supervision and/or assessment to support knowledge application and clinical skills. You will need to be able to use a variety of methods to deliver education within the clinical setting, adjusting accordingly to learner needs, preferences and neurodiversity where possible.
To evidence the progress of the role, you will undertake audits and document educational progress utilizing effective feedback strategies which support development and wellbeing.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Professional requirements e.g. Registered Nurse or Registered Professional.
* Professional knowledge acquired through degree education or equivalent experience.
* Mentoring/coaching/education qualification to postgraduate diploma level or equivalent evidence of supporting learners in practice.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Significant experience within relevant field.
* Experience of educating others in a formal or informal setting.
* Broad awareness of Trust initiatives/pressures.
* Education at a master's degree level.
* Further education at a master's degree level in relevant practice area.
* Previous Band 6 experience.
* Further evidence of specialty competence.

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 a year (Per Annum, PA Pro Rata)
