Tiffin School is looking to appoint a Sports Centre Duty Manager to help run the sports centre. The Sports Centre is used by local schools, community groups and sports teams during evenings, weekends and through the school holidays. The busy facility comprises a sports hall, three dance studios, 3g pitch, and cricket nets.
The Duty Manager will work 2 -3 shifts per week which is 11.5 - 17 hours a week depending on opening times.
Either 4.45pm - 10.30 pm weekdays and 7.30am - 5.30 pm weekends, though variable through the year when we have cricket nets which mean weekends can be 7.30am - 9.30 pm at night.
(Open times: weekdays 16:30 - 22:30, weekends: 08:00 - 17:00 so working hours will be within these times). This will be in agreement with the Estate Manager and you will need to be flexible.
The main responsibilities are:
* To help run a busy sports centre
* To oversee that the facility is running safely, compliant with the School’s safety policies.
* To manage the sports centre assistants who will be from the school 6th form.
* To set up and store equipment;
* To help expand the provision of children’s activities and parties within Tiffin School;
* To take bookings, respond to customer enquiries and handle money.
* General cleaning of the centre during operational hours.
You will have excellent organisational and customer facing people skills.
The candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative and will have a proactive approach to complete required tasks and deal with customers.
You will need to be comfortable with using new software systems and Microsoft office. Attention to detail is required.
